She walks the talk. Pegine is the only Latina and one of only eight women inducted into the 60-member Motivational Speakers Hall of Fame, and others include Anthony Robbins and Jack Canfield. Her company was named the #3 Fastest-Growing Privately Own Companies in North Florida. Pegine was honored at the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Conference by Macy's and Minority Business Enterprise Magazine, where she was named one of three 2016 Women Who ROCK IN BUSINESS, she was the cover story.  Her company received the Department of Defense's CPARs (Contractor Performance Assessment Reports) rating of EXCELLENT for quality, service, and mission success for contracts over a million dollars (extremely rare). A former Bronx gang member kicked out of her first high school; she is a true American success story. Quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Forbes, among others. Pegine was called a cutting-edge opinion leader by one of the top political public relations firms.  She appeared on most talk shows except Oprah and Jerry Springer. Montel Williams became her mentor and guide. He won his first Emmy with Pegine as his expert. She was on his show 32 times.

In the social media world, Pegine is recognized as one of the leading thought leaders in leadership, management, self-improvement, entrepreneurship, and small business consistently ranking in the top .1 percent of people speaking on these topics.

Pegine is the "Lessons in Leadership" columnist for The Events Industry Council's 33 member organizations represent over 103,500 individuals and 19,500 firms and properties involved in the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry.

As is evident from her presentations, Pegine is trained in improvisational theater, audience-interactive theater, and comedy.  She performed in comedy clubs, and her BA is in Theater and Education. She specialized in interactive theater.

Pegine Echevarria is also CEO of Team Pegine, Inc., a training and consulting, event management firm specializing in leadership, team building, inclusion engagement, and training.  Her company provides role players for leadership development for corporate and military training for leaders and influencers.

Her company produces situational training exercises (STX), including large-scale exercises for thousands of leaders at one time. Her company includes 50 professional role players, project managers, and suppliers. Pegine builds coalitions, collaborative, and joint ventures with large and small businesses.

These scale experiences involve over 25 vendors, hundreds of independent contractors (or more), and thousands of participants. Pegine serves on national and international boards. She produced one 10,000 person event on the lawn of the National Mall; the keynote speaker was the President of the United States, and the MC was Tom Selleck. She closes million-dollar deals.

THE POWER OF MENTORING

Pegine doesn't just talk the talk – as a former gang member who transformed her life, Pegine walks the walk. During her teenage years, Pegine ran with the "wrong crowd" on the tough streets of the Bronx. She joined a girl gang and relied on her sharp wit and dynamic personality for "street credit."

Unfortunately, Pegine's charm wasn't enough to keep her out of trouble, and she wound up getting kicked out of high school. She eventually graduated from a different high school after a drama teacher there took Pegine under her wing. She was also mentored by an unusual Girl Scout Leader named Ms. B. A compelling story of positive impact.

THE POWER OF CHOICE

It was then, at age 18, that Pegine decided enough was enough and became a leader in her own life. She moved to Europe, and there Pegine turned her life around. She launched two businesses in Madrid, Spain, and sold them both at a profit by the time she was 23.  She has continued to make bold, brave choices throughout her career.

THE POWER OF SALES

After selling her businesses, Pegine returned to the United States to finish her bachelor's degree. Her time in Europe taught her that "what you think is what you get," sales skills are essential for everyone, and that change takes guts.

Once she was back in the States, Pegine's transformation continued. She became the top Evinrude salesperson at the New York Boat Show. She was the National Sales and Operations Manager at Pierre Cardin/Gant menswear and even opened up their Latino market. Pegine was also President of a women's direct sales catalog company.

Through these experiences, Pegine became fascinated with the relationship between motivation, leadership, and people. Specifically, why some people took advantage of opportunities while others didn't and how organizations help or hinder individual success.

THE POWER OF EDUCATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Pegine went on to earn a Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University. She founded the University's Cultural Diversity Committee. Along the way, Pegine designed and directed a Latino family support center that was named one of the top ten in the country by The Harvard Group Review.

She also received from Hofstra University in New York a Certificate of Entrepreneurship and from the Universidad de Madrid a Certification de Extranjeros (she speakers and presents in Spanish).

Today, a Leadership speaker, motivational speaker, and business speaker Pegine puts all her education, experience, energy, and wit into her inspiring programs. As is evident from her presentations, Pegine's trained in improvisational theater, audience-interactive theater, and comedy.  Pegine is also passionate about volunteering for organizations benefiting the military, women and girls, and the Hispanic community.

Pegine lived in Europe for three years, ran two companies there. She has sold products and services to other countries. Her company trained over 20,000 officers from all branches of the military and 21 ally nations on cultural negotiations. She has ongoing training called The Global Women's Leadership Experience, where women fly in from around the world for the executive presence and leadership practice. She presents to groups on Dynamic Leadership in a Global Economy.

Pegine works with sales groups, leadership groups, and speaks at conferences on how each person is unique and powerful and how to use those unique talents to increase productivity, team effectiveness, and garner success. Pegine is the founder and President of the Power Women of the National Speakers Association, a 950+ membership of global experts, authorities, and speakers who are women. The group has Olympians, New York Times Bestselling authors, and some of the most brilliant minds in the world.

Her company, Team Pegine, produces the "Global Women's Executive Leadership Experience™," a simulation and situational training exercise for women leaders. The memorable experiences prepare women executive leaders for high stress, high-value moments, where they gain influence and confidence — rated as one of the most profound leadership experiences by women participants from around the world. The program produces results 22% of participants received promotions within six months of completing the program.

THE POWER OF BEING A CERTIFIED SPEAKING PROFESSIONAL – CSP™

The CSP™ (Certified Speaking Professional) designation is conferred by the National Speakers Association® (NSA). The CSP designation is the speaking profession's highest earned international measure of professional platform competence.

Less than 12 percent of the 5,000+ speakers worldwide, who belong to the 14 member associations of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF), currently hold this professional designation.

The CSP designation is earned by mastering the four professional competencies adopted by the NSA Board of Directors:

*             Eloquence – The art of speaking and the use of powerful and persuasive presentations.

*             Expertise – Knowledge, skills, and experience in a specific area.

*             Enterprise – The purposeful undertaking of a successful speaking business venture.

*             Ethics – The standards governing the conduct of those in the speaking profession.

For a speaker to earn the CSP designation, a speaker is required to:

*             Perform and document hundreds of presentations

*             Show income earnings of $50,000+ for a minimum of five years

*             Receive excellent ratings on performance evaluations from past clients and fellow CSPs

*             Take part in ongoing education

*             Maintain and renew their designation every five years
